Updated: Nov 25, 2020

Bali has becoming one of the glorious tourism destinations in the world. Many people from around the world enter the ‘Island of God’ every day to see the fascinating landscape and culture of Bali.

As a tourism destination, Bali obtains best and complete facilities, especially the accommodation like hotels and restaurants. Accordingly, the name Four Seasons Resort might not be strange anymore. Four Seasons possesses countless of hotels and resorts around the world, including Bali. In Bali there are two resorts such as in Ubud and the other one is in Jimbaran, Badung Regency. Moreover, last year, Four Seasons recognized as one of the best resorts in Asia according to Conde Nast Traveler.

Four Seasons Jimbaran is also one of su-re.co’s partners to support the sustainable coffee project namely su-re.coffe project. Moreover, Four Seasons Jimbaran also become the early backer of su-re.co’s crowdfunding (www.su-re.coffee) that becomes one of the successful crowdfunding on indiegogo platform. Four seasons decided to use su-re.coffee as their coffee in 2019, this order worth $5000 USD and this was a really good start for the crowdfunding last year.

coffee tasting at Four Seasons Jimbaran Bay

We met with Nicolas Senes (Director of Food and Beverage) and his staff Mahardika at Four Seasons Jimbaran Bay in order to do a coffee tasting. Moreover, we had Dr. Kay from Oxford along with us in our journey to meet Four Seasons. She was doing a research on palm oil and did some interview with some successful farmers and interested in our su-re.coffee story as well and eventually joined our activity in between her research.

Generally, the coffee tasting was good and they love taste of su-re.coffee. In addition, the session which took place in Jimbaran Bay also talked about the next collaboration between su-re.co and Four Seasons Jimbaran.  Four Seasons Jimbaran also interested to use su-re.co’s roasting machine as a tool of education or guest experience at Four Seasons Jimbaran because the machine is handy and easy to use and thus it would be easier to explain to the guests about how to roast the coffee.

Su-re.co is extremely happy to see many people take a part of supporting local farmers tackling climate change and marketing their products around the world. They are still waiting for many helping hands to support their product and also tackling climate change together! Find su-re.coffee at our website, partner stores, or come directly to Montessori School every Friday Morning. The students will serve a cup of fresh coffee for you there!
