DO-PLANTING

We support land restoration through agroforestry implementation inside and outside social forestry schemes.

This approach ensures sustainable production while enhancing ecosystem services—strengthening biodiversity, soil health, and carbon sequestration for long-term resilience.

Collaborative Action for Land Restoration

Several restoration projects are currently underway as 1700 trees has been planted and including initiatives in Wanagiri because of support and collaboration with Tigermov. Various partners involved, including CIFOR-ICRAF and TeikyoDai which covers different areas and focuses on the effective restoration of degraded land through tree planting and other conservation efforts.

DO-ENGINERING

Works on providing the most accessible biogas digesters as clean energy and waste management tool for farmers. Our research projects generated deliverables that shaped biogas development pathways (i.e., cooking and electricity). As a result of research and implementation projects  and donations from partners, we have installed a total of 138  biogas digesters since 2019 for farmers

in Bali, Java, Flores,and Sulawesi.

Biogas Digester - Farmer.jpg

1. Franchise Distribution of Biogas Digesters

This GIZ-funded project is scaling up biogas deployment in Indonesia through a franchise business model with third-party manufacturing partners. The goal is to achieve 10,000 installations annually by 2030, making clean energy more accessible to farmers and communities. Key outcomes include:

  1. Establishing large-scale, standardized biogas digester production

  2. Securing certification under Indonesian national standards

  3. Building a farmer-focused marketing and monitoring system to reach 1,500 farmers

  4. Developing financial models to attract carbon offset buyers

  5. Supporting policy advocacy to strengthen Indonesia’s renewable energy sector

This project demonstrates how innovative business models can accelerate renewable energy adoption while empowering local farmers and strengthening Indonesia’s clean energy future.

2. Circular Economy in the Coffee Sector:
Coffee Pulp to Biogas

This initiative promotes circularity in Indonesia’s coffee industry by transforming coffee by-products into renewable energy. A major focus is on converting coffee pulp into biogas using optimized pretreatment and processing methods for higher energy efficiency. Benefits include:

  1. Reducing agricultural waste in the coffee value chain

  2. Expanding access to sustainable energy in rural areas

  3. Supporting climate change mitigation through renewable energy

  4. Creating additional income streams by increasing the value of coffee by-products

By turning waste into energy, this project supports a more sustainable coffee sector, delivering both environmental benefits and economic opportunities for farming communities.

BIOGAS IN BAJAWA

As a part of Climate Field School in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), in 2019, we installed biogas in Bajawa. We met farmers who were passionate about having biogas in their houses. In Bajawa, sustainable agriculture is one of the prioritized programs, so biogas will meet their needs.

BLOCKCHAIN CARBON OFFSET

Our Biogas Digester has been our longest gift. With revisions and recalibration, we want to make sure our gifts last. On top of our continuous efforts to improve our design, we are starting our carbon offset by using blockchain technology to further disseminate this gift.

Stay in the loop or contact us for more information!

202104 Blockchain

WHY BLOCKCHAIN?

We care about transparency.

Carbo Offset Certifications are costly, time-consuming, and may not provide actual emission data. By using blockchain we can create a decentralized system to secure our biogas digester data so that it is immutable, hence provide transparent carbon offset value instead of estimations.

201910 Flowmeter

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Our digesters are equipped with flowmeters to detect gas production [m3] when utilized.  We connect this data from the flowmeter into a blockchain system, where no one can manipulate. This way, we can translate real-time gas production data will be into purchasable a carbon offset credits [tonCO2e].

Biogas for Pak Rudi

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?

We will continue to install our biogas to farmers in rural areas. By purchasing our carbon offset, your support will not only reduce emissions, but support communities of rural Indonesia, all over Flores and Bali.
