Celebrating the Success of Our Climate Collective’s 2nd Round!

Our biogas project has hit a major milestone, with all seven digesters now fully operational, providing farmers with cleaner and more affordable energy.

A standout achievement is the Jembrana community independently installing a digester using our online resources. Another innovation—adding a greenhouse to a digester—has enhanced gas production in cooler climates, showcasing the system’s adaptability.

The impact is clear: farmers are reducing reliance on firewood and LPG, cutting costs, and improving soil health with nutrient-rich bio-slurry. Early data also suggests a significant reduction in carbon emissions. With ongoing training, real-time monitoring, and continuous improvements, we’re excited to keep driving sustainable solutions forward!

IKI Biogas Project Launch: Empowering Indonesian Farmers with Clean Energy

We're thrilled to kick off our new biogas project in partnership with IKI, aiming to provide Indonesian farmers with accessible, renewable energy. Through a mass production franchise model, this initiative will scale biogas adoption and create long-term sustainability by 2025, our goals include:

• Deploying 80 biogas digesters

• Equipping 1,500 farmers with monitoring and marketing support

• Securing financial backing for long-term success

• Advocating for policies that support small-scale digesters

• Strengthening internal capacities for sustainable project management
  

This project marks a significant step toward a greener future for Indonesia’s farming communities!

Boosting Biogas Output with Enhanced Digesters

In October, su-re.co developed two new biodigester prototypes to provide farmers with a more consistent gas supply. One design expands width and length to double capacity, while a compact version adds an upper gas storage chamber to maximize output without requiring more space. These innovations aim to make biogas more efficient and accessible for small farms.

EPCC Guideline: A Key Pillar for IKI’s Biogas Project

The EPCC guideline is central to our strategy, setting the standards for designing, building, and commissioning biogas digesters. By standardizing processes, it will:

• Enable large-scale deployment with a replicable model

• Strengthen our franchise network with clear procedures

• Optimize costs by ensuring efficiency and minimizing errors

This framework is crucial to achieving our goal of 80 digesters by 2025 and building a sustainable biogas sector in Indonesia.
