Asia-Pacific Grantees Gather in Bangkok for Global EbA Fund Workshop

Bangkok, Thailand – Eighteen grantees of the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s (IUCN) Global Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) Fund from the Asia-Pacific region are gathering in Bangkok for a learning exchange and networking workshop. This significant event serves as a platform for grantees to share their experiences and insights on how funding from the Global EbA Fund is supporting ecosystem-based management strategies to combat the impacts of climate change on both people and nature.

The workshop brings together various organizations and experts in the field of ecosystem-based adaptation to discuss best practices, challenges, and opportunities for scaling up resilience efforts. Participants will engage in collaborative discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions, focusing on innovative approaches to strengthening ecosystem resilience and enhancing climate adaptation initiatives.

Among the contributing organizations is su-re.co, a sustainability and climate-focused company dedicated to driving impactful environmental solutions. Representing su-re.co at the event is our researcher Fabian Peri Wiropranoto, who will take part in discussions on how ecosystem-based approaches can be effectively implemented and scaled to create long-term climate adaptation strategies.

The Global EbA Fund plays a crucial role in supporting projects that integrate ecosystem-based approaches into climate adaptation planning. By fostering cross-sector collaboration and knowledge exchange, this workshop aims to equip grantees with the tools and insights needed to maximize the impact of their initiatives and build a more resilient future for both nature and communities across the Asia-Pacific region.

This event highlights the importance of collaboration in tackling climate challenges and reinforces the role of ecosystem-based adaptation in achieving sustainable and climate-resilient development.
